Before connecting or disconnecting the pulpit, always consult with the person in the AV booth to be sure that channels 5,6, and 18 are turned off on the audio board.
When inserting and removing cables:
Insert/Pull straight in or out.
Pull by the connector. DO NOT pull on the cable or the strain relief where the cable leaves the connector.
When moving the pulpit:
Be careful not to strain any of the cables.
Do not drag the pulpit across the cables.
Removing the Pulpit
Twist the pulpit to the left (so that the open side faces the piano), and pull away to expose the floor box and electric outlet.
Unplug the power cable, and remove the cover from the floor box
Disconnect all cables:
Fully loosen the thumb-screws holding the thick projector cable in place and remove the cable.
Push in the thumb-tab just above the connect to remove the microphone cable from jack #5.
Remove the small 1/8" headphone cable.
When complete, you should see the floor box empty as show on the left
Coil up the cables and tuck them in to the lower shelf of the pulpit.
Putting the Pulpit back in position
Plug the pulpit cable back in to jack #5
Plug the projector cable back in to the "Computer In" jack on the Extron panel. Turn the thumbscrews so that it is secure, but not overly tight. Important: Do not put the end with the large "bead" (see image on the left) down in the floor box. It will make fitting all the cables in the floor box without cramping much more difficult.
Plug the 1/8" audio cable in to the "Audio In" jack on the Extron panel.
