Dear Members and Friends of the Harrisburg First Seventh-day Adventist Church,
We extend a heartfelt message to those working and on the front lines.
As we continue with our state and local mandates to take serious precautions on travel, social interactions, and shopping, we are reminded of how many in our midst continue to work in environments that need to “remain open” or are essential to helping the rest of us survive.
To all of you on the front lines, those who consider themselves part of our church family and beyond, we would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you." To all of our nurses, doctors, medical assistants working in hospitals, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, or offering in-home care. To grocery store and pharmacy employees, and all those who continue to work in businesses considered “essential” across Pennsylvania.
We would like you to know that all of us at the Harrisburg First Seventh-day Adventist church will make YOU and your family a matter of our daily prayers, that God provide protection and bestow His grace and mercy upon you. And that you experience opportunity to see His unfailing love each day.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (NIV)
“Let’s encourage one another and all the more as we see the day approaching.” If I or our church family can be of assistance to you during this time, please do not hesitate to call: 717-652-6000.
Pastor Dave Sanner
