Weekly Bulletin and Announcements for May 28, 2022

Updated: May 27, 2022

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne,
high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings:
with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
And one cried to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”

Isaiah 6:1-3 (NKJV)

Dear Members and Friends of the Harrisburg First Seventh-day Adventist Church,

The church bulletin is attached so that you can see our plans for worship, the church calendar, requests for prayer, etc. The bulletin and additional information are also available on our Church website: www.harrisburgadventist.org

Here is some important information:

Wilhelm “Viv” Mabius passed away Saturday, May 21, in the comfort of his home. Services will be held at the Harrisburg First Seventh-day Adventist Church on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and the 12:00 a.m. service. Interment will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Additional information is available at: https://www.richardsonfs.com/obituary/Wilhelm-Mabius

The Church Board on May 16 voted to approve a proposal for updating the Mothers’ Room. There will be an informational meeting on June 4 following the worship service for those interested in this new plan for the Mothers’ Room.

The Church Business Meeting voted on Sunday, May 22, to move forward with the replacement of the lower-level windows. The window frames have rotted and need to be replaced. The cost of this project is $17,986.00. Our April financial statement shows that we currently have $13,014.14 in our Capital Improvement Fund. This is enough to purchase the windows before prices rise. We will need $ 4,971.86 this summer to complete this project. Please mark your contribution as “Capital Improvement Fund.”

I hope that you will join us for worship each Sabbath morning.

If our church family or I can be of assistance to you during this time, please do not hesitate to call: 717-652-6000 (church office) 717-652-6005 (pastor’s line)

God bless,

Pastor Dave Sanner
